This internship will be a pivotal role within our team, supporting users, streamlining internal processes, and facilitating communication between departments and customers. The role will provide hands-on exposure to customer support, marketing, community engagement, product testing, grant research, and spatial technology exploration. As an intern, you’ll also assist in grant proposal development, contributing to the identification and pursuit of funding opportunities. Product Testing and Internal Operations:
Participate in product testing initiatives, including bug reporting, providing feedback on new features, and suggesting improvements.
Assist with various internal operations, such as project management, documentation, meeting coordination, and administrative tasks.
Education and Interest: A current student or recent graduate with a strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced and dynamic tech environment. A genuine interest in marketing, community engagement and/or grant writing is highly desirable.
Customer Service and Communication: A customer-centric mindset with a passion for providing excellent service and support to users. Exceptional research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with users and convey information clearly and concisely.
Technical Skills and Organization: Proficient in using technology and various software tools. A demonstrable interest in mapping technologies, spatial solutions, and/or geographic information systems (GIS). Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities across different functions.
Prior Experience: Experience in customer service, technical support, or user engagement roles. Familiarity with grant databases, grant writing processes, or previous experience in securing funding is a plus. Exposure to spatial technology, mapping software, geospatial analysis tools, or GIS applications is beneficial. Strong skills in content creation, social media management, digital marketing, and community building are highly valued. Experience with project management tools and methodologies is an asset.
